CONTESTS

The show goes far beyond tattooing with a full lineup of creative contests designed to spotlight talent from every corner of the scene. We’ll be hosting Digital Art, and Analog Art competitions—each with First, Second, and Third Place winners. The Analog Art category is dedicated to hand-drawn work, including pen and pencil pieces, celebrating raw skill and traditional technique.

 

Tattoo apprentices will also have their moment in the spotlight with our Apprentice Flash Competition, where up-and-coming artists submit their best flash sheets to go head-to-head for bragging rights and prizes. This competition focuses on fundamentals like linework, composition, and originality, and offers apprentices the chance to win prizes provided by Blick Art Materials.

 

We’re also bringing the heat with a Skateboard Art Competition, where artists will create original, hand-crafted designs on skateboard decks provided by the show. Any hand-created medium is welcome. Decks will be judged for creativity, execution, and impact, with First, Second, and Third Place prizes awarded.

 

Our Silent Auction will feature original artwork and one-of-a-kind pieces available to bid on throughout the event. Each starting bid represents the minimum price the artist is willing to accept for the piece you’ll be taking home, and any amount bid above that starting price will be donated to a charity to be announced. At the end of the show, we’ll be announcing the total amount raised for the charity, highlighting the collective impact made by artists, bidders, and attendees alike.

 

All contest prizes are backed by gift certificates from a local skateboard shop, with the Skateboard Art Grand Prize being a certificate large enough to build a complete setup—deck, trucks, wheels, bearings—everything needed to roll straight from the show to the skate park.
