Tim’s seminar will focus on his freehand process, working live on a client with a large-scale Japanese bodysuit—John Luis. He’ll break down everything from how he approaches flow and body movement, to the specific pens and tools he prefers for

drawing directly on the skin,

and how he maps out

cohesive large-scale

compositions without relying

on stencils. This is a rare

opportunity to watch a

high-level artist design in

real time and explain every

decision as it happens.

There may also be exclusive

goodie grab bags included

for attendees.

Whether you’re looking to strengthen your confidence in freehand work, improve large-scale layout, or refine your Japanese-inspired compositions, Tim’s seminar will deliver practical insight you can immediately apply to your own tattooing.

The seminar will be held at the Western Sports Complex Arena 2 on Thursday, June 25th, 2026 at 2pm-5pm.

JOSE BAENA

Joining us this year as our featured seminar instructor is Jose Baena.

Jose is a Colombian tattoo artist with over 12 years of experience, celebrated throughout the industry for his mastery of black and grey tattooing and his commanding approach to large-scale work. His technique is precise, deeply intentional, and rooted in a thorough understanding of how ink interacts with skin—not just in the chair, but through the healing process and beyond.

Jose's seminar will dive into the full evolution of his process—from pigment selection and building your own grey wash set, to tonal balance, saturation techniques, and working confidently across different skin types. He'll break down how he achieves clear planes and depth, why second passes matter, and how he approaches design and composition when tackling large-scale pieces. Whether you're looking to sharpen your technical foundation, refine your workflow, or push your black and grey work to the next level, learning from Jose promises to be a transformative experience.
